Training News

“Now that the Spring semester has started, Training has been actively trying to recruit new applicants to come into the Plumbing and Pipefitting Apprenticeship Program,” said Head Training Coordinator Dean Kobashigawa. Since the high schools have started up the in-person career fairs again, Training took advantage of the opportunity. The Training Coordinators as well as the Business Agents recently attended the McKinley High School, Moanalua High School, and Castle High School career fairs. They had the opportunity to speak with the high school juniors and seniors informing them about the Plumbing and Pipefitting Apprenticeship Program and all the benefits of being a Local 675 Member. Training Coordinator Dean mentioned, “We always tell the students, if college is not for you and you like to work outdoors and construct or build things, the trades is a great career choice to make a living wage and provide for your family in the future.”
