The Plumbers & Fitters Local 675 provides the stamp of pride and quality on every project undertaken – from power plants, water treatment plants, oil refineries, hospitals, government and commercial buildings, hotels and luxury resorts, and high-rise condominiums to single-family homes in residential neighborhoods.

Historical Data

Founded in 1919 with 50 members, the Plumbers & Fitters Local 675 received its charter from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada.

Skill Areas

Union members hold specialized skills in plumbing, pipefitting, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire sprinkler systems, and welding. The Union provides extensive training and certification to members through the Plumbers & Fitters prestigious training facilities that offer hands-on and classroom training, including video distance learning.

Certification programs are also available, from backflow prevention, medical gas, CFC and Hazzwopper training to First-Aid and CPR training.

Apprenticeship

5-year program, 10,000 work hours on-the-job training, plus ten semesters of related classroom instruction.
