Plumber License Renewal Due |
|
|
|
All plumbers have one of two options to meet continued
compentency requirements for their license renewal:
One, attend a class on the current updates to the UPC at
either Hawaii, Honolulu, Kauai or Maui Community College.
Attendees will receive a certificate to verify they took the
class, or:
Two, take an exam at Thompson Prometric (ph. 808-261-8182).
When notified to renew the license the plumber must submit a
copy of a certificate from the Community College indicating
class attendance on the updated UPC along with payment for
renewal. The licensee can also submit a copy of a score
report from Thompson Prometric verifying he/she has passed a
continued competency exam on the updates with payment.
The cost is $225. The State is offering a discount for
on-line renewal between April 20 and June 30, 2009. Renewing
after June 20 will have to be submitted by mail or in person
to the Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs’
Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (DCCA/PVLD).
To register online the licensee must authorize the UH
Community Colleges to release information relating to the
1997 Plumbers Continued Competency Course to DCCA.
If the Community College-issued proof of attendance
certificate is either lost or misplaced, call: For Oahu,
844-2326; Big Island, 933-2305 or 974-7531; Kauai, 245-8209;
Maui. 984-3401.
